Adapting for an ageing society: homes, policies, neighborhoods and more.

The population in many countries around the world, including Sweden, is growing older. Though population ageing is only made possible through advancements in human society, the world we currently inhabit may not fully be ready for such demographic changes. 

My PhD project explores different ways that ageing manifests in relation to our built environment, specifically focusing on housing and the surrounding neighborhood that older people occupy. Through my work, I aim to discover new ways to better understand and improve our world, making it more age-friendly. Our lifespans and demographic composition are changing, and with this change, we too must adapt and transform.
